Dj Strategy

Comfort with well-considered details In long sessions, it’s not only sound that matters, but also how it feels on your head. The swivelling ear cups let you position them flexibly—for example for one-sided monitoring. At the same time, the stable, adjustable headband helps ensure a secure fit without building up unnecessary pressure. This provides comfortable wearing comfort, even when a set takes longer. The ear pads and headband padding are fitted with a nano coating. This makes it easier to wipe off sweat and dirt, significantly simplifying maintenance during regular use. In the DJ environment, that’s a practical advantage because the material stays clean and tidy for longer. Thought through—right down to the accessories The package includes a 1.2 m coiled cable, a 1.6 m straight cable, an adapter from 3.5 to 6.35 mm stereo jack with screw connection, as well as a carry bag. Sennheiser HD 25

Professional monitoring starts with the right headphones. The Sennheiser HD 25 is a closed over-ear headphone that has been a mainstay in studios, for outside broadcasts and in DJ booths worldwide for decades. With just 140 g in weight, a robust design, and a sound profile that doesn’t distort even at extreme levels, this model has established itself as a reliable work tool for audio professionals. The closed construction effectively isolates ambient noise, while the wide frequency range of 16 to 22,000 Hz ensures precise monitoring. Built for everyday hard use Where other headphones show signs of wear after just a few months of use, the Sennheiser monitoring headphone is only just starting to get “warmed up”. The construction is designed for longevity – from the reinforced joints to the aluminium voice-coil in the drivers. Particularly worth highlighting is the modular design: ear pads, cable, headband and other components can be replaced individually. This not only saves costs, it also conserves resources because you don’t have to buy a completely new set of headphones straight away. A sound that holds its own With a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB, the HD 25 also won’t distort in extremely loud environments. Dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets deliver a detailed sound profile with tight bass, clear midrange, and defined treble. The 70 ohm rated impedance ensures you can operate the headphones with ease on mixing desks, audio interfaces, DJ controllers, or mobile devices – without an additional amplifier. Comfort for hours of use The split headband design distributes the contact pressure evenly and still feels comfortable even after long sessions. The padded ear cups sit comfortably without pressing. Especially practical for DJs and broadcast professionals: the foldable ear cup enables one-sided monitoring, so you can keep an eye on the room acoustics at the same time. Despite the secure fit, the weight of 140 g remains hardly noticeable. Flexible connection options The one-sided routed, detachable cable with a length of 1.5 m doesn’t get in the way when you work and can be replaced quickly if it becomes worn. A screw adapter from 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm is included, so you can use the Sennheiser headphones directly with professional equipment. The closed construction minimises both the entry of ambient noise and unwanted bleed to the outside. Why the HD 25 is a perfect match for you This headphone is designed for anyone who needs precise monitoring in loud environments and doesn’t want to compromise on wearing comfort and durability. It’s the right choice for you if you: Need a reliable tool for club, festival and booth use as a DJ Work in broadcast or for outside broadcasts Are looking for studio monitoring with high level resistance Prefer a headphone with replaceable individual parts and a long service life Require universal compatibility with mixers, interfaces and mobile devices From the beginner who wants to rely on proven professional technology straight away to the experienced sound engineer – the Sennheiser HD 25 has delivered consistently for years and has earned this reputation for good reason. Yamaha HPH-MT8

Yamahas studio headphones are designed for precise listening without embellishment. The closed over-ear design, the high-resolution 45-mm drivers and clean stereo imaging give you a direct, controllable sound image. This is how you hear the midrange, treble and bass in a balance that is intended for recording, editing, mixing and other control tasks. At the same time, wearing comfort remains in place even when a session runs longer. Clarity that makes decisions easier At the centre are the 45-mm drivers with CCAW voice coil, designed for detailed, true-to-source reproduction. Especially with vocals, transients and finely graded spatial information, it helps you assess edits with confidence. The wide frequency response reinforces this impression with reproduction that reaches deep down and stays open in the upper range—without losing focus on precision.Yamaha places its trust here in a balance for controlled monitoring. This makes the headphones particularly interesting when you don’t just want to listen to music, but want to judge tracks, identify problem areas and check mixes reliably. Clean imaging of individual elements ensures that the soundstage, dynamics and tonal balance remain understandable. Sound isolation with practical benefits The closed, ear-surrounding design effectively reduces outside noise and simultaneously keeps sound leakage to the outside low. This is helpful in the studio when you want to work in a focused way or avoid bleed during recording. Even with live monitoring or on the go, the signal remains better in focus as a result. In addition, there are large, soft padding that sits comfortably and makes long sessions easier. The construction is designed so the headphones fit securely without putting unnecessary strain on you. This is a noticeable advantage, particularly during longer production phases, because you can focus more on the material and less on the headphones. Flexible, robust, built for everyday use For flexible use, the model offers swivelling ear cups and an adjustable mechanism. This makes it easier for you to work individually—such as when you want to check briefly using only one side. The slide controls and the movable arm construction support a fit that remains comfortable even over several hours.Just as important is the robust design. Aluminium die-cast yokes and the foldable construction are designed for regular use, whether in a fixed studio setup or when transporting between different work locations. With spiral and straight cables, you are also set up to be flexible depending on your workstation. Does the Yamaha HPH-MT8 fit your workflow? This model is just right for you if you place value on precise control rather than a flattering balance when listening. It’s suitable for producers and audio engineers, as well as for anyone who wants to assess recordings and mixes intentionally. Pioneer DJ HRM-7

Designed for precise work in the studio, this closed-back monitor headset delivers a neutral, clearly resolved sound with controlled bass reproduction. Especially with modern electronic music, it shows what matters: clean details, stable midrange, and a bass foundation that doesn’t get in the way. The circumaural design effectively shields outside noise, while the flexible build and soft velour pads also feel comfortable during long sessions. Clean listening, confident decisions The 40 mm HD drivers are designed for precise playback up to 40 kHz. This way, you can hear subtleties in the highs, transients, and spatial information with particular clarity. This is a clear advantage when mixing, critical listening, and evaluating sound designs.Instead of colouring the sound, the tuning remains deliberately controlled. That helps you classify tracks, layers, and effects more easily and make decisions that remain nachvollziehbar on other systems as well. Bass with structure So that low frequencies don’t sound blurred, this model uses dual air chambers in the ear cups. The optimised airflow supports a tight, clean bass range and helps you distinguish kick drums, basslines, and sub-bass components more clearly from one another. It’s complemented by a robust construction and a damping structure that reduces unwanted resonances. The result is a controlled sound image with more calm in the mids and more overview in the low end. Isolation that lets you get work done The fully closed-back design provides effective isolation against ambient noise. Especially when recording, editing, or producing with focus, it helps you stay concentrated even in less quiet environments. The ear-enclosing housings create enough space around the ear. This supports clean separation in the sound image and conveys an ordered, wide presentation without unnecessary harshness. Comfort for long sessions Wide ear pads made from Hybrid-Memory foam with a velour covering ensure a comfortable fit and a relaxed wearing feel. The material feels soft against your skin and remains comfortable even over longer periods, without pressing unnecessarily. There’s also a freely adjustable headband and flexibly mounted ear cups. That means the studio headset adapts better to your head shape and stays comfortable even during long working phases. Does the Pioneer HRM-7 suit you? This model is the right choice if you value honest monitoring when producing, editing, or critical listening, and you don’t want to give up comfort. It’s aimed particularly at producers of electronic music, home and project studios, as well as anyone who works with headphones for long stretches and is looking for a closed system with clear bass reproduction. Suitable for producing, mixing, editing, and detailed pre-listening Highly useful for long sessions thanks to a flexible fit and soft velour pads Well suited if you’re looking for a closed model with neutral tuning Also interesting for ambitious beginners who want to listen cleanly instead of colouring the sound Features Pioneer HRM-7 Professional, fully closed studio monitor headset for precise, neutral work 40 mm HD drivers for high-resolution playback with an extended frequency range up to 40 kHz Dual air chambers in the ear cups improve airflow and support clean bass Damping structure reduces resonances for controlled bass and clear midrange Ear-enclosing design with effective shielding against disruptive ambient noise Large ear pads made from hybrid memory foam with a velour covering for high wearing comfort Freely adjustable headband for a flexible, comfortable fit Straight cable and coiled cable enable a suitable connection depending on your workstation Technical data Type Fully closed-back dynamic stereo headset Frequency response 5 - 40,000 Hz Impedance 45 Ohm Sound pressure level 97 dB Max. input power 2,000 mW (JEITA) Driver diameter 40 mm Driver principle Dynamic Connection cable 1.2 m coiled cable | 3 m when stretched | 3 m straight cable Plug 3.5 mm stereo jack | gold-plated | screw-on Adapter 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter | gold-plated | screw-on Weight 0.33 kg What’s included Pioneer HRM-7 studio headset 1x coiled cable 1.2 m 1x straight cable 3 m 1x gold-plated 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter 1 pair of replacement velour ear pads
