Product description SM Pro Audio Nano Patch
In compact monitoring setups, the monitor volume can be controlled directly in the analogue signal path. The SM Pro Audio Patch, also known as the Nano Patch, is a passive stereo volume controller with a large rotary knob and mute switch.
The controller attenuates the signal; it does not amplify it. As there are no active components in the signal path, the device requires neither a power supply nor batteries. This lets you adjust the monitoring volume without an additional mixer or digital level control.
The volume controller ranges from full attenuation to 0 dB. Between −40 dB and 0 dB, you can adjust the level in 1 dB steps; the mute switch silences the signal. Balanced and unbalanced inputs, as well as two balanced 6.3 mm jack outputs, allow you to connect compatible analogue signal sources and monitoring systems.
The Nano Patch is suitable for compact studio and monitoring setups where you want to control a stereo signal passively and mute it when needed. The key factors are how you want to operate the device and whether the balanced or unbalanced connections match your audio connections.
