For vocals, miking instruments or a club PA, a cardioid polar pattern helps capture sound specifically from the front and reduce noise from the sides. The dynamic Sennheiser E 825-S with cardioid polar pattern is designed for these applications and combines a robust metal housing with warm, transparent sound reproduction.

The directional response provides high feedback rejection and diffuse sound rejection, while handling noise rejection reduces noise caused by handling. A balanced frequency response complements the sound profile. This makes the handheld microphone suitable for use on stage and for vocal or instrument recording.

For quick muting, the microphone features a lockable, click-free on/off switch. The wired connection is via a three-pin XLR connector; a minimum load impedance of 1,000 ohms is specified for operation.

The metal housing and the included microphone clip suit a setup in which the microphone is used both handheld and on a stand. With its XLR connection, switch and cardioid polar pattern, the E 825-S is designed for vocals, instruments and club PA.
