Product description Samson C01U PRO

For vocal and instrument recordings, you can connect the Samson C01U PRO directly to a computer via USB. The condenser microphone features a 19 mm diaphragm and hypercardioid polar pattern and is suitable for vocals, podcasts, voiceover and audio for videos. The USB connection also supplies power.

For monitoring, plug headphones directly into the microphone. The 3.5 mm stereo headphone output plays back the microphone signal with no perceptible latency and can also output the return signal from the recording software. This lets you hear your recording while speaking or playing; you can switch off direct monitoring in the software if needed.

The Peak LED lights up green when powered via USB and flashes red if the input signal is clipping. A shock-mounted microphone capsule and die-cast metal housing help reduce handling noise and vibrations during recordings. The two-stage grille protects the capsule and reduces wind and plosive sounds.

The C01U PRO works plug-and-play without a separate driver installation and is compatible with most recording programmes and applications. It is powered via USB when connected to a Mac, PC or iPad; to connect it to an iPad, you need a suitable USB camera adapter. This makes the microphone suitable for music and vocal recordings as well as VoIP, video conferencing and speech-to-text applications.
