Product description Rodec MixBox MK2

When DJing with two turntables and additional players, switching quickly between signal sources is just as important as staying in control of the mix. The Rodec MixBox MK2 is an analogue DJ mixer with two switchable main channels and a microphone channel. Its five switchable input sources and readily accessible controls are designed for setups where quick mixing and scratching are essential.

Channels 1 and 2 can each be switched between Phono and CD/MD or Line. Heavy-duty transformer switches select the source, and gain controls and a three-band EQ are available on all channels. This lets you adjust the levels and sound of both music channels and the DJ microphone at the mixer.

The crossfader fades between channels 1 and 2. The Flash button lets you briefly bring in the opposite channel; you can also disable the crossfader if required. The rubberised knobs and faders provide a secure grip, and the easily replaceable ALPS crossfader is also listed as a spare part in the package contents.

For monitoring, PFL is available for channels 1 and 2, along with a PFL/SPLIT function. Two VU meters can display either the input levels or the output signal. The headphone output has its own volume control; the two master outputs can also be controlled separately, allowing them to be used as monitor or booth outputs.

There is an AUX/REC output for recording or connecting another device. The power switch is on the rear panel, so you won't switch it off accidentally while operating the mixer. With its connections, switchable Phono and Line sources, and microphone channel, the mixer is suited to compact DJ setups with turntables, for example at home or in a bar.
