Rode NT1-A

Many would describe RØDE's large-diaphragm bestseller as a typical entry-level microphone. In terms of purchase price, this is true, but not in terms of the technology on offer: with only 5 dBA self-noise, the NT1-A is one of the quietest studio microphones in the world - ideal if a large number are to be used at the same time.

Sonically, the slim NT1-A is beyond reproach with its full frequency response and subtle presence boost. It is quite suitable for vocals and for miking acoustic instruments, including guitars, woodwinds and, of course, orchestral strings; the latter benefit considerably from the NT1-A's linear off-axis frequency response. Thanks to its light weight (326 g), the NT1-A can be safely positioned at clear heights even with standard stands.

Included with the NT1-A are the deluxe "SM6" spider with integrated pop shield, a 6 m XLR cable and a dust bag. The NT1-A is manufactured by RØDE in Australia, and registered users receive a 10-year warranty from Rode directly.
