Pioneer S-DJ05-W

When listening to productions and DJ sets, a wide listening area is helpful if you move around your workspace or cannot align the speakers perfectly to a fixed listening position. The white Pioneer S-DJ05-W pair is designed for DJ and home studio setups and combines a two-way active system with bi-amping, input switching, and an external controller.

The controller manages both speakers together: you can adjust the volume, mute, switch between inputs, and operate the EQ as well as power on and off. The speakers are connected to each other via a link cable, allowing you to make settings centrally on the controller. The mute function without changing volume preserves the set level for subsequent work.

For sound adjustment, a linear equalizer is available, which regulates the low and high frequency ranges separately from -6 dB to +6 dB. You can turn the EQ on or off and switch between flat playback and a user-defined setting. This allows you to adjust the tuning for music production, DJ playback, or casual listening.

Each speaker features XLR, 6.3 mm TRS, and two RCA inputs. In total, you can switch between four connected sources without having to reconnect cables. A blue LED on the front indicates the input source, EQ status, and operating state.

The tweeter is housed in a waveguide that widens the sound dispersion; the independently driven tweeters and woofers support a larger sweet spot. The speakers are designed as a bass-reflex system. Screw holes on the bottom allow for mounting with suitable brackets sold separately; an automatic standby mode switches to standby after 60 minutes without an input signal or operation.

With XLR, TRS, and RCA connections, level and EQ control, as well as the central remote control, this pair of speakers fits into DJ and production setups with multiple sources. The white finish is of interest to everyone who wants to combine these features with a bright housing design.
