Product description Pioneer DJM-900 SRT

For a DVS setup with turntables or CDJs, an integrated sound card is useful: it saves you from needing a separate audio interface and keeps the cabling tidy. The Pioneer DJM-900 SRT is a four-channel mixer with Serato sound card that connects to a computer via USB and controls Serato DJ natively. With the included Control CDs or Control Vinyls, you can operate the software decks using compatible players.

Each channel accepts phono, line and digital signals; you can switch between a connected turntable and CDJ on the respective channel. The integrated sound card handles audio transmission to the computer, so no external interface is required for Serato operation. The mixer provides four audio channels and two microphone channels.

For sound processing, six Sound Colour FX and 13 Beat FX are available. The Beat FX can be assigned to channels and controlled via X-PAD and TWIN LFO. X-PAD combines triggering an effect with changing its parameters at the same time. PRO DJ LINK connects compatible CDJs to the mixer via LAN; beatgrid information and the Quantize function support tempo-synchronised effect control.

A switchable 3-band equaliser or 3-band isolator adjusts the highs, mids and lows of each channel. The faders are designed for regular use; the crossfader uses a contactless magnetic system. A peak limiter restricts level peaks at the master output. After a preset time, the unit can automatically switch to standby if it has not been used for an extended period or if there is no input signal.

Via MIDI, you can send control information to external devices and assign the mixer’s functions. The MIDI LFO also outputs a signal whose pattern is based on beat intervals. Send and return connections are provided for external effects units; master, booth, recording, digital and headphone outputs offer connection options for sound reinforcement, monitoring and recording.

With four channels, DVS control, extensive effects and multiple output paths, the model is suitable for club and performance setups with Serato DJ. Turntables, CDJs and external effects can be connected through a single mixer; CDJs are not included.
