Pioneer DJM-250-K

When beatmixing, it is all about shaping frequencies precisely and controlling transitions directly on the mixer. The Pioneer DJM-250-K as a 2-channel DJ mixer combines a 3-band isolator with separately controllable filters on both channels for this purpose. Eight input paths accommodate turntables, DJ players, microphones and other sources.

Each channel has a 3-band equaliser for HI, MID and LOW with a control range from +9 dB to full attenuation. The Sound Color Filters for both channels can be operated via illuminated rotary knobs and adjusted steplessly between low-pass and high-pass filters. This allows you to specifically change sound ranges while mixing.

You can monitor channel levels via separate peak displays. For transitions, the crossfader curve can be switched between three characteristics. The fader start function can control the playback of a connected Pioneer DJ player via the faders; for this, the player must be connected with a control cable.

Phono/line and CD inputs are available for each channel for connecting external sources, as well as three AUX inputs and a microphone input. The master outputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections; you can connect headphones via 6.3 mm or 3.5 mm jack. A ground terminal is provided for turntables.

The mixer processes audio signals digitally at 24-bit and 48 kHz. Its black-grey finish suits compact DJ setups at home, in bars or at parties when you need two channels, manual filters and several analogue input options. The fader start control is particularly relevant when you integrate compatible Pioneer DJ players via control cable.
