Klasse

Important questions about the article Pioneer DJ PLX-CRSS12

Answer: Yes. In analogue mode, it plays regular vinyl records via the tonearm; in Digital Vinyl mode, it controls Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox.

Question: Do I need a needle on the record in Digital Vinyl mode?

Answer: No. In this mode, DJ software control works without the tonearm; the MAGVEL CLAMP holds the record on the platter.

Question: Is a cartridge included?

Answer: No. A suitable cartridge with headshell is required for analogue playback and must be selected separately.

Question: Which speeds and pitch ranges are available?

Answer: The PLX-CRSS12 runs at 33⅓ or 45 rpm. The pitch fader offers ±8%, ±16% or ±50%.

Question: What are the four Performance Pads for?

Answer: The pads are MIDI-assignable and enable functions of the connected DJ software directly on the turntable. They supplement the workflow but do not replace a DJ controller.

The direct-drive turntable is designed for clean analogue playback, while also giving you the option to back up your collection via USB to your computer. There’s also an integrated preamplifier, a switchable phono/line output, and a scope of delivery that lets you get started right away. This results in a model that brings together listening, digitising and DJing in a meaningful way. Analogue sound with substance At the heart of it is high-quality analogue playback. The direct-drive motor works gently and reliably, while the short signal path and effective damping of vibrations ensure a warm, clear sound. That’s exactly what makes this Pioneer model interesting when you don’t just want to play records, but to listen to them deliberately. The aluminium die-cast platter supports the stable running behaviour and provides a solid, controlled feel with every record. Together with the headshell, cartridge and stylus, the turntable is designed to give you a convincing entry into analogue playback without any detours. Recording instead of just playing The USB connection is particularly practical. With it, you can easily connect your vinyl collection to a PC or Mac and digitally archive it. This is useful when you want to secure rare pressings, listen to your favourite albums on the go, or transfer older recordings conveniently into your digital music collection. The built-in preamplifier and the switchable phono/line output also make the connection pleasantly flexible. That means you’re not locked into a specific setup—you can integrate the turntable more easily into existing HiFi or recording environments. Familiar layout, useful details The layout is based on the professional PLX-1000, giving you an interface that is clearly structured and immediately feels familiar. This is especially interesting if you want to do more than just listen and also work with DJ-ready operation. There are also thoughtful details such as the dust cover with integrated holder for record sleeves. In everyday use, it’s surprisingly practical because you can place the current sleeve visibly without needing extra space. Small features like these make the difference between purely technical equipment and genuine everyday suitability. From the living room to a DVS setup The white turntable suits you well if you want to enjoy vinyl, digitise your collection, or take your first steps in the DJ world. Thanks to USB, direct drive, and the option to combine it with rekordbox DVS, a compatible DJ mixer and Control Vinyl, the device remains widely versatile without becoming unnecessarily complicated. Technics SL 1200 GR2 Top View

Technics SL-1200 GR2

The Technics SL-1200 GR2 is a tribute to the rich heritage of the SL-1200GR, combined with cutting-edge technology and an aesthetically pleasing design. This turntable is the result of Technics' continuous effort to enhance sound quality through innovations. One of the standout innovations is the ΔΣ–Drive (Delta–Sigma Drive), an advanced motor control that virtually eliminates vibrations generated by the motor. This innovation marks the beginning of a new generation of Technics' direct-drive turntables, aimed at taking the audiophile experience to a higher level. The SL-1200 GR2, as the first beneficiary of this technology, features a two-layered platter. It is constructed in a way that a rubber layer on the back of the aluminum die-cast ensures optimal stability and efficient vibration damping. This construction eliminates resonances that could otherwise affect the records and contributes to an exceptionally clear sound. The platter itself, weighing 2.5 kg, is significantly heavier than its predecessor, further reducing vibrations. Stability is further increased by reinforcement ribs on the back of the platter, resulting in significantly improved damping compared to the previous model. The tonearm, an essential element for fidelity, follows the rotation of the record with the utmost precision. It is made of lightweight yet extremely stable aluminum and is mounted on a high-precision bearing. This enables exceptionally accurate tracking of the grooves. The hand assembly and adjustment of the tonearm by Japanese specialists ensure high sensitivity and precision. The cartridge, adjustable to individual preferences, also contributes to the flexible customization of the listening experience. The SL-1200 GR2 represents not only high sound quality but also a refined design and surface quality, making it a standout piece in any room. The Technics SL-1200 GR2 is not just a testament to audiophile engineering but also a piece of modern art that will delight both vinyl sound enthusiasts and design aficionados alike. With its innovative technology and meticulous craftsmanship, this turntable sets new standards in sound quality and aesthetics. Features Technics SL-1200 GR2 Advanced Direct Drive: For precise speed control and stability Innovative Motor: Brushless DC motor minimizes vibrations Versatile Speed Settings: Supports 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, and 78 rpm Precise Pitch Adjustment: Allows fine-tuning of pitch by ±8% and ±16% Quick Start: Reaches full speed in 0.7 seconds Reliable Brake System: Electronic brake for effective speed control High-Quality Platter: Made of aluminum die-cast for optimal stability and balance Balanced Tonearm: Ensures accurate tracking and reduced tracking error Adjustable Tonearm Height: For different record sizes and shapes Flexible Cartridge Compatibility: Supports a wide range of weights and sizes Robust Construction: Stable housing for durability and reliable performance Easy Connectivity: RCA stereo outputs for universal compatibility Improvements/Differences from the GR1 Model The headshell of the turntable models is enhanced by the engraved Technics logo, giving them an elegant and distinctive appearance. Metal-coated components replace some resin parts, giving the device a more premium look and feel. Revolutionary Drive System: The SL-1200GR2 features the innovative Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ)-Drive system. This system with precise 1-bit D/A conversion and accurate PWM pulse generation provides an extremely clean drive sine wave. The result is minimized rotational vibrations, which, combined with direct drive, deliver an exceptional listening experience. Versatile Cartridge Options: The SL-1200GR2 comes with 3mm thick aluminum die-cast spacers. These allow users to choose from a wider range of cartridges and fine-tune them perfectly to the turntable, expanding sound adjustment options compared to the previous SL-1200GR model. Technical Specifications Drive Principle: Direct Drive Motor: Brushless DC Motor Speeds: 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, 78 rpm Pitch Adjustment: ±8%, ±16% Starting Torque: 2.2 kg・cm Start Time: 0.7 seconds to 33 1/3 rpm Brake System: Electronic Brake Wow and Flutter: 0.025% W.R.M.S. Pioneer DJ DJM-S11 combines classic battle mixing with a modern software workflow. The 2-channel scratch mixer is designed for DVS setups, works directly with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, and offers you a clear interface for fast, precise decisions. This lets you work more flexibly without having to switch between functions all the time. Fader for quick hands The improved Magvel Fader Pro is designed for precise cuts, scratches and hard hits. Pioneer DJ has increased vertical stiffness, made the coating more robust, and further reduced wear in the crossfader area. For you, that means: smooth-moving controls, clear handling and a fader feel that stays reliable even during intense routines. Scratch DJs in particular benefit from this direct responsiveness. Sound with clean conversion The mixer draws on sound technology from the DJM-900NXS2 and uses 64-bit DSP processing as well as high-quality 32-bit conversion. This ensures a detailed output via the master section and a stable foundation for club installations, studio setups or livestreams. The frequency response from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, the good signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion make it clear that the mixer was built not only for performance, but also for clean sound. You can tap effects briefly, hold them, or leave them permanently active in lock mode. This makes it easy to build in transitions, drops, and short accents intuitively—without having to keep your eyes on the laptop. That way, for example, you can trigger Hot Cues, samples, or Key functions rhythmically. You set the beat length directly on the mixer. After that, you control the function via the effect lever. This is ideal for build-ups, repeated sample triggers, or short performance moments that need to sit precisely on the beat. Bluetooth as a quick playback source Via Bluetooth 5.0, you can feed audio signals directly from a smartphone or another compatible device into the mixer. That’s useful for spontaneous tracks, loops, samples, or short playback segments. The Bluetooth signal can be routed to the master output or to a channel. That way, you can not only play it back, but also further process it using the mixer functions. Support includes, among others, SBC, AAC, Qualcomm aptX, and Qualcomm aptX Low Latency. Pads for fast performance On both channels, you get eight large performance pads each. With these, you control Hot Cues, Samples, Scratch Bank, and other pad modes directly on the mixer. In Serato DJ Pro, you can use multiple pad functions simultaneously with the Combo Pad Mode. 2 x 8 performance pads for both channels Scratch Bank for quick access to prepared sounds Pad modes per channel set can be used flexibly Direct control without detours via mouse or trackpad Fader feel for precise cuts The installed Magvel Fader Pro is designed for precise scratch techniques and clean transitions. The crossfader curve can be adjusted, and Crossfader Reverse is also available. That lets you tailor the response behaviour to your own style.Even the fader feel can be influenced via a separate setting. This is particularly valuable when you switch between fast cuts, smooth transitions, and controlled blends. Who is the Pioneer DJM-S7 for? The Pioneer DJM-S7 is a good fit for you if you’re looking for a compact battle mixer that neatly combines scratch performance, DVS control, and software flexibility. Pioneer DJ DJM-A9

Professional 4-channel club mixer for demanding performances: With the Pioneer DJ DJM-A9, you get a central tool for modern DJ setups that consistently brings together sound quality, ease of operation and a wide range of connections. The revised architecture with high-quality 32-bit converters from ESS Technology delivers a clear, natural sound, while the refined layout is immediately noticeable in everyday use. New effects, a significantly stronger microphone section, Bluetooth audio, dual-USB for two computers and numerous options for complex booth, club and festival environments also come included. Clarity that stands out immediately in the mix At the heart of it all is an exceptionally clean, powerful sound. The 32-bit A/D and D/A converters from ESS Technology elevate the audio quality to a level that also sounds controlled and open in large systems. Especially during long sets, dense arrangements and changing sources, the sound stays defined without coming across as harsh or artificial. The internal signal paths have also been carefully revised. This benefits not only the channels, but also the microphone and headphone outputs. This makes the mixer interesting for anyone who wants not just precise mixing, but also to hear their entire setup cleanly and reliably in every situation. More space, more control Right from your first interaction, you can feel the revised operating logic. Knobs and buttons are arranged more generously, important areas can be spotted faster and operated more securely. This really pays off in dynamic transitions, because you can reach functions more directly and don’t have to make as many compromises in handling.Added to this are slimmer channel faders and an evolved MAGVEL crossfader of the third generation that responds smoothly and works precisely. The isolators have also been optimised. This creates a playing feel that comes across as controlled, direct and robust—suitable for classic club mixes as well as quick, technical performances. Effects with clearer access The effects section has not only been expanded, but also built more practically. You have a total of 14 Beat FX at your disposal, including the new effects Mobius, Triplet Filter and Triplet Roll. The coloured display shows the selected effect and its parameters clearly, so you can keep an eye on everything even during live conditions. The revised X-Pad supports more direct control with your finger. In addition, the Sound Color FX section brings a Center-Lock feature that prevents unwanted jumps between the Hi and Low parameters. Especially when things get fast, this feature helps you use effects in a controlled, musical way. Stronger for mic and moderation The microphone section goes significantly further on the DJM-A9 than on many classic club mixers. With switchable 48-V phantom power, you can connect condenser microphones too, which is particularly interesting in this product category. As a result, the mixer is suitable not only for DJ sets, but also for moderation, hosts or hybrid event formats.Alongside this, there are three dedicated microphone effects with which you can quickly adjust voices or deliberately colour them. Echo, pitch and megaphone expand the range of use sensibly, without unnecessarily complicating the workflow. If you regularly work with MCs, announcements or live elements, you get noticeably more flexibility here. Ready for two computers and many signal paths For switching between two DJs or for parallel workstations, this club mixer is set up particularly well. Thanks to two USB Type-B and two USB Type-C connections, two PCs or Macs can be connected simultaneously. This significantly simplifies transitions between sets and is a perfect fit for professional workflows with rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro.Bluetooth streaming is also included with routing to each channel, two independent headphone outputs and an extensive input/output section including send/return. Flexible connectivity isn’t just a side point here—it’s part of the concept. This allows the device to be integrated cleanly into both simple and very extensive setups. Connected in a professional environment With a LAN connection and an integrated WiFi module, the mixer can also be integrated into networked environments. This is particularly useful where multiple systems interact or where a setup needs to be monitored and organised from a distance. Support for DJM-REC, video and lighting applications, as well as Stagehand and Sound Check, also expands the practical range of uses. The model is compatible, among others, with rekordbox, Serato DJ Pro, DVS environments, ShowKontrol and PRO DJ LINK Bridge. That makes the device clearly aimed at users looking for a central switching hub for a professional setup that is reliable in the long term. Who is the Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 for? Technics SL 1210 GR2 Top View (1)
Technics SL-1210 GR2

The Technics SL-1210 GR2 represents an impressive fusion of the legendary heritage of the SL-1210GR and innovative technology, wrapped in an aesthetically pleasing design. This turntable embodies Technics' commitment to further enhance audio quality through advanced developments. A highlight is the ΔΣ–Drive (Delta–Sigma Drive), a cutting-edge motor control that virtually eliminates motor vibrations. This technological innovation marks a new era for Technics direct-drive turntables, aiming to optimize the quality of the listening experience. With the SL-1210 GR2, as the first model to benefit from this technology, a two-layered turntable is employed. It consists of a rubber layer on the underside of the aluminum casting, ensuring stability and effective vibration damping. The elimination of resonances that could affect records ensures an extraordinarily pure sound. The 2.5 kg heavy turntable surpasses its predecessor in weight, further reducing vibrations. The stability of the turntable is further reinforced by reinforcement ribs on the underside of the turntable, enabling improved damping compared to the previous model. The tonearm, crucial for fidelity, follows the record with the highest precision. It is crafted from robust aluminum and mounted in a precise bearing, similar to the more expensive models SL-1210G and SL-1210GR. This allows for precise groove tracking. Each tonearm is hand-assembled and adjusted by Japanese experts, ensuring high sensitivity and precision. The customizable cartridge allows for tailoring the sonic character to individual preferences. The SL-1210 GR2 not only stands out for its excellent audio quality but also for its revamped, elegant design and refined finish that makes it an eye-catching centerpiece in any room. The Technics SL-1210 GR2 represents both excellent audio engineering and modern art. It captivates vinyl enthusiasts and design connoisseurs alike with its advanced technology and meticulous craftsmanship. The turntable sets new standards in terms of sound quality and aesthetics. Features of Technics SL-1210 GR2 Advanced direct drive for precise speed control and stability Innovative motor effectively reduces vibrations Supports various speeds: 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, 78 rpm Fine pitch adjustment of ±8% and ±16% Rapid attainment of full speed in 0.7 seconds Electronic brake for precise speed control High-quality aluminum die-cast turntable for stability and balance Balanced tonearm for accurate tracking and reduced tracking errors Adjustable tonearm height for various types of records Compatible with a variety of cartridge weights and sizes Rugged construction for durability and reliable performance Cinch stereo outputs for versatile connectivity Improvements/Differences from the GR1 Model The headshell of the turntable models is embellished with the engraved Technics logo, giving them an elegant and distinctive appearance. Metal-coated components replace some resin parts, giving the device a more premium look and feel. Revolutionary drive system: The SL-1210 GR2 utilizes the innovative Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ)-Drive system. This system with precise 1-bit D/A conversion and accurate PWM pulse generation delivers an extremely clean drive sine wave signal. The result is minimized rotational vibrations, which, together with direct drive, enable an exceptional listening experience. Versatile cartridge options: The SL-1210 GR2 comes with 3mm thick aluminum die-cast spacers. These allow users to choose from a wider range of cartridges and perfectly match them to the turntable, expanding sound tuning possibilities compared to the previous model SL-1210 GR.
