Pioneer DJ delivers the HDJ-X5 as a closed over-ear headphone that was specially developed for DJ monitoring. Calibrated together with professional DJs, this headphone combines powerful sound, military-grade robustness and high wearing comfort in a compact, foldable design. The extremely wide frequency range from 5 Hz to 30 kHz ensures that you can precisely preview at any volume level and make safe mix decisions.
Sound that keeps up
The 40 mm drivers with copper-clad aluminium voice coil (CCAW) deliver a punchy, distortion-free sound image – even at high levels. This is supported by a bass reflex chamber that reproduces low frequencies cleanly while also providing good sound isolation. The 4-core stranded cable improves channel separation between left and right noticeably, while the optimised electromagnetic design effectively suppresses interfering noises. The sound focus is in the bass range – genres such as Hip-Hop, EDM or House benefit particularly from this.

This DJ headphone has passed the US military shock test standard (MIL-STD-810G)—a certification that stands for extreme durability. Metal-reinforced hinge parts and a thoughtfully designed construction make the headphone resistant to knocks, transport and everyday use. In addition, a water-repellent nano coating protects against moisture. Cables and ear pads can be replaced if needed, further extending the service life.
Comfort without compromise
The ear cups are swivellable and the headband can be flexed, so you can adjust the headphone to your monitoring style. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Der Kopfhörer kommt im robusten Kunstledersack mit Spralkabel und Klinkenadapter. Das Handling ist gut und er lässt sich in fast jede Porition bringen. Die Earpads sind weich, aber kleben nicht an der Haut. Der Klang ist sehr gut und klar. Nebengeräusche konnte ich nicht feststellen. Die Abschirmung ist ebenfalls gut.
