Pioneer DJM-S7 is a 2-channel battle mixer for modern scratch, DVS, and performance setups. It combines the direct feel of a classic mixer with flexible software integration for Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox. There’s also Bluetooth audio, an integrated USB hub, 16 performance pads, 22 beat FX, and a precise Magvel Fader Pro. That gives you a compact control centre that fits neatly into club, home, and turntable setups.
The mixer is clearly geared towards DVS performance and scratch workflows. You can connect turntables, CDJs, controllers, and laptops without unnecessarily complicating your setup. The two channels stay clear and responsive, giving you exactly the control you need when mixing.
By means of the automatic unlocking of Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox performance functions, you can get started without any additional licence activation. Simply connect a PC or Mac, start the software, and go. DVS control is also possible when you work with the appropriate control media.
With the 22 built-in beat FX, you can access creative sound processing directly on the mixer. The effects section is based conceptually on the larger DJM-S11 and gives you fast control over internal effects, software FX, or Loop MIDI functions.
Effect levers are particularly handy. You can tap effects briefly, hold them, or leave them permanently active in lock mode. This makes it easy to build in transitions, drops, and short accents intuitively—without having to keep your eyes on the laptop.
Loop MIDI is a special tool for this battle mixer. The DJM-S7 sends MIDI commands in a fixed beat cycle to Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox. That way, for example, you can trigger Hot Cues, samples, or Key functions rhythmically.
You set the beat length directly on the mixer. After that, you control the function via the effect lever. This is ideal for build-ups, repeated sample triggers, or short performance moments that need to sit precisely on the beat.
Via Bluetooth 5.0, you can feed audio signals directly from a smartphone or another compatible device into the mixer. That’s useful for spontaneous tracks, loops, samples, or short playback segments.
The Bluetooth signal can be routed to the master output or to a channel. That way, you can not only play it back, but also further process it using the mixer functions. Support includes, among others, SBC, AAC, Qualcomm aptX, and Qualcomm aptX Low Latency.
On both channels, you get eight large performance pads each. With these, you control Hot Cues, Samples, Scratch Bank, and other pad modes directly on the mixer. In Serato DJ Pro, you can use multiple pad functions simultaneously with the Combo Pad Mode.
The installed Magvel Fader Pro is designed for precise scratch techniques and clean transitions. The crossfader curve can be adjusted, and Crossfader Reverse is also available. That lets you tailor the response behaviour to your own style.
Even the fader feel can be influenced via a separate setting. This is particularly valuable when you switch between fast cuts, smooth transitions, and controlled blends.

Ich hatte zuvor einen Rane seventy-two ausgeliehen, aber der hatte eine merklich hörbare Masseschleife die ich nicht weg bekam.
Deshalb habe ich mir zum Vergleichden Pioneer DJM S7 bestellt und nun auch behalten (der DJM S11 ist ja zur Zeit nicht lieferbar).
Den Mixer aneschlossen und siehe da, keine Masseschleife oder sonstiges Rauschen. Super sound und gute Verarbeitung. Der Fader ist auch sehr leichtgängig.
Ich betreibe das Setup mit zwei Techniks 1210 MK7 und an Yamaha HS7 Boxen und bin wirklich begeistert.

Erstmal zum guten:
Also da hat sich wirklich jeder Cent echt gelohnt. Es ist ein super Battlemixer und macht was es verspricht. Was das Teil alled kann sollte jeder wissen bzw. sich mal auf Youtube ein paar Videos reinziehen.
Im Vergleich zum s9 oder zum seventy two von Rane, ist der s7 ganz klar die 1.
Fühlt sich einfach an zu bedienen und ist total unkompliziert.
Nun zum schlechten:
Naja schlecht kann mans nicht nennen, aber es stört dass man nurnoch mit nur einer einzigen Einstellung den Ton für das Mikrofon ändern kann. Habe bei den ersten Gigs Probleme gehabt klaren Sound herzustellen, was sich aber, nach Internetrecherche, in den Einstellungen ändern/beheben lässt. Zudem ist das Gehäuse aus einfachem Plastik, was mich persönlich aber nicht stört :-)

Hatte keinen S9 - habe mit einem DJM 450 und Denon DVS Box - Serato DJ Pro 2018 begonnen.
Nach langem mir überlegt einen Serato kompatiblem Mixer zu holen.
Und da der S9 nicht mehr verfügbar ist - ist dies die beste Option.
Optisch sieht er top aus
