When playing CDs in a DJ set, cue points, precise searching and quick access to tracks are useful. The Omnitronic CDP-360 dual CD player combines two CD drives in a 19-inch unit and is designed for standard CDs with a diameter of 8 or 12 cm. The anti-shock buffer is intended to stabilise playback when subjected to shocks; 20 seconds are available for each drive.

Skip and Search/Scan buttons are used to select and search tracks. For more precise positioning, the Jog/Shuttle wheel lets you search frame by frame in steps of 1/75 of a second. The Cue function lets you locate a starting point; Auto Cue sets playback to start at the beginning of the music signal. In Single mode, the device plays one track at a time.

For transitions, you can adjust the playback speed by up to ±12 per cent using the pitch fader. Pitch Bend buttons help you briefly match two signal sources. The pitch setting is shown on the display. A loop function repeats a marked section, and up to 20 tracks can be stored for programmed playback.

The LCD shows the operating status and can display the remaining time, track length or elapsed playing time. A visual warning alerts you 15 seconds before the end of a track. In playback mode, the Open/Close button is locked to prevent accidental opening.

The two drives are operated using the corresponding controller. Two stereo outputs via RCA are available for connection to a mixer. The housing is designed for installation in a 19-inch rack. This makes the CDP-360 suitable for DJ setups that play CDs and require basic cue, loop and pitch functions to be controlled directly on the device.
