Product description Omnitronic LH-086

Before setup, cables and connections can be checked directly for correct wiring. The Omnitronic LH-086 is a cable tester for studio and live applications and supports a wide range of audio and speaker connections, including 3- and 5-pin XLR, 3.5 and 6.3 mm jack (including stereo), CAT5, DIN, RCA, and 4- and 8-pin speaker cables.

You select the connection type to be tested using the rotary switch. An indicator shows the connected pins and helps you check the wiring and polarity. A lit Ground LED indicates a connection between a pin and the casing, which may mean there is a short circuit.

Two banana sockets are available for connecting test leads for separate continuity checks. If continuity is detected, an LED and an audible signal indicate the result. In the fully clockwise switch position, a bright LED also indicates whether the battery is charged.

The tester is powered by a 9 V battery and, according to the device specifications, is intended for indoor use. This makes it a practical way for musicians and technicians to check the cable connections listed above in the studio or during live setups.
