When scratching, the platter must respond quickly to hand movements; when mixing, reliable speed control is essential. The Numark TTX is a direct-drive DJ turntable with adjustable torque and interchangeable straight and S-shaped tonearm tubes. Its controls can be arranged for club or battle setups.

The direct drive offers several torque settings; you can also adjust the start-up behaviour and electronic brake. Two start-stop buttons make access easier when the unit is positioned differently. The pitch control covers ±8, ±10, ±20 and ±50 percent. With Master Tempo enabled, the pitch remains unchanged despite changes to playback speed; this function is available on the line output.

To adapt it to your playing style, you can change the tonearm tube: both straight and S-shaped versions are provided. The position of the pitch control and buttons can also be switched for club or battle use. An integrated beatcounter helps you gauge the tempo, while forward and reverse playback provide additional playback directions.

Stereo RCA outputs with switchable phono or line level and a coaxial digital output in S/PDIF format are available for connection. The digital output operates at 44.1 kHz. Master Tempo is tied to the line output; the digital output can be used in parallel with the phono/line output.

The three speeds of 33⅓, 45 and 78 rpm cover common record formats. The damped die-cast aluminium platter and height-adjustable tonearm mount complement the DJ features. For DJ setups with interchangeable tonearm shapes, switchable control layouts and adjustable drive, the TTX offers the corresponding adjustment options.
