When scratching and beatmatching, the drive power also affects how the platter responds to your hand movements. The Numark TT-X - AT is a direct-drive DJ turntable with three selectable torque settings; you can choose between 2.2, 3.7 and 5 kg/cm.

The straight and S-shaped tonearms can be swapped to suit different working styles. The aluminium tonearm features cue, height and anti-skate adjustment. The pitch fader and controls can also be switched between club and battle layouts.

You can choose a pitch range of ±8, ±10, ±20 or ±50 per cent. Quartz control maintains the standard speed regardless of the fader position; Key Lock maintains the pitch when the tempo changes. This function is available with line output. An integrated BPM counter measures the tempo, while the illuminated display shows pitch, RPM, BPM and motor settings.

The motor supports reverse playback and adjustable start and stop times. You can choose between speeds of 33, 45 and 78 rpm. A removable aluminium target light with a bright LED illuminates the platter. The housing, with its steel core and hard rubber construction, is designed to reduce vibrations and unwanted noise.

For signal routing, a switchable phono/line output and an S/PDIF digital output are available. The power and audio cables are detachable; the connection panel is illuminated. This makes the turntable suitable for DJ setups where you want to choose between different tonearm configurations, drive settings and output types.
