Product description Numark MIXTRACK PRO II
For DJing with DJ software, a controller combines deck control, a mixer and a sound card in one device. The Numark MIXTRACK PRO II is a 2-channel DJ controller with integrated audio interface: you control tracks on your computer, cue them through headphones and send the mix to a sound system via the master output.
The touch-sensitive, illuminated jog wheels respond to touch and movement. Depending on the scratch setting, you can use them for scratching or tempo adjustment; pitch faders and pitch-bend buttons provide additional manual control. The Sync button can help you match tracks.
16 illuminated pads with three modes are available for cue points, samples and loops. In Hot Cue mode, you set or trigger cue points; in Sample mode, you trigger loaded samples. Loop mode allows manual and automatic looping; you can edit the loop points using the jog wheel.
The mixer section includes a crossfader, 3-band EQ and channel gain controls. Dedicated effect controls let you control effects such as flanger, phaser and echo. The music library controls let you browse tracks on the controller and load them onto Deck A or B.
The integrated audio interface provides a stereo master output via RCA, as well as 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm headphone connections. A 6.3 mm input accepts a dynamic microphone; you can adjust its level on the device. The controller connects to the computer via USB, which also powers it.
Serato DJ Intro is listed as included and is installed via download. Thanks to standard MIDI, the device can also be used with popular DJ software; it works on Mac and PC without additional drivers. This makes the controller suitable for computer-based DJ setups where you want to use a mixer, deck control, headphone cueing and a microphone input in one compact device.
