Product description Novation Launchpad Mini

When clips and sounds need to be triggered without using a mouse, a pad grid puts the most important actions right at your fingertips. The Novation Launchpad Mini is a compact controller with 64 tri-colour pads for iPad and computer. You can use it to control loops, samples and effects in real time, and its robust, lightweight design also makes it suitable for mobile setups.

The 64 illuminated, tri-colour pads give you a visual overview of your controls and can be labelled with the included stickers. This lets you identify assignments for software or your own functions, for example. The model is part of the Novation Launch family and can be combined with other devices in the range.

On a computer, the Launchpad Mini can be used with Ableton Live, FL Studio 11 and other music software. The included Live Lite version is an introduction to working with clips and loops; effects such as filter sweeps, stutter and drum rolls can be controlled in real time. The Launchpad app for iPad also lets you play loops, control effects and use sound packs. Sounds and edits can be exported and shared.

It connects via class-compliant USB; this means no additional driver is required to use it with Ableton Live on a computer. To use it with an iPad, you need a Camera Connection Kit, which is not included. Power is supplied via the USB connection, so neither batteries nor a separate power supply are needed.

With its low weight of 0.428 kg and compact size, the controller fits into mobile music setups as well as onto a limited studio workspace. It is suited to you if you want to control clips, loops and effects using a clear pad grid and would like to use Ableton Live, FL Studio or the iPad app.
