Native Instruments Software Session Strings Pro

When string parts in pop or R’n’B arrangements need to be playable quickly, control over articulation and ensemble division is just as important as the sound. A sampled eleven-piece string ensemble forms the basis of Native Instruments Session Strings Pro, which is intended for modern productions as well as indie and singer-songwriter tracks.

The ensemble was recorded in four different arrangements. You can use the strings as a complete group or work with separate instrument groups. Compared to Session Strings, the Pro version contains twenty times more sample content according to the product description, thus covering an expanded sound spectrum.

For expression, 29 articulations are available, including different playing styles for sustained, short, and moving passages. A programmable animator complements manual playing: it can create rhythmic string figures that you can adjust for your production. This allows you to work out both individual lines and recurring accompaniment patterns.

The library includes 48 GB of sample data, which is compressed to 32 GB. For operation, you need Kontakt or Kontakt Player; the specific compatibility depends on the version used and your operating system. The instrument is suitable for producers who want to record string parts in pop, R’n’B, hip-hop, indie, or singer-songwriter arrangements and wish to switch between ensemble sound, individual groups, and programmed figures.
