Mixvibes Cross Pack

Digital tracks can be controlled using timecode vinyl or CDs via turntables and CD players. The Mixvibes Software Cross Pack combines Cross DJ software with the U46MK2 USB audio interface, two 7-inch control vinyl records and two timecode CDs. Control via MIDI controller is also supported.

The software provides two DJ decks and a 2-channel mixer. The mixer has a 3-band equaliser, kill switches and monitoring. For the decks, you can choose between CD mode with stutter behaviour and vinyl mode for scratching; timecode control is designed for vinyl and CDs.

Automatic BPM detection, Beat-Sync, Pitch Bend and a pitch range of up to ±100% are available for beatmatching. Master Tempo keeps the pitch constant when changing the playback speed; Hybrid-Pitch mode also allows slow pitching with Master Tempo enabled. An intelligent search function jumps to the next beat. Loops can be set manually or automatically, while Hot Cue Points mark important points in a track.

Cross supports AIFF, WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG and AAC for your music collection. You can import individual folders or external hard drives and manage multiple playlists. The integrated iTunes connection also imports playlists; tracks can be sorted by BPM, artist, pitch or rating. Search, a preview deck with scrollbar, shuffle and automatic playlists with fade-out make selection easier. Tags for multiple audio files can be edited together; an info tab displays artwork and track ratings. A function helps you find media files that have been moved.

Flexible audio routing adapts the signal path to different setups. A safety mode warns you when a track is about to end. You can connect external sources via the line inputs and record the mix. The software supports ASIO, DirectX and Core Audio; multiple MIDI controllers and fully assignable keyboard shortcuts are available for control.

Installation requires a free USB port and storage space for music. The minimum requirements are Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7, or Mac OS X 10.4. Both platforms require an Intel Core 2 Duo running at a minimum of 1.8 GHz and 1 GB RAM.
