Product description Martin Extreme MX-10

A moving head with a narrow 18° beam can be precisely aimed at surfaces and subjects. The Martin Extreme MX-10 combines a 250 W discharge lamp with a redesigned optical path and a multi-coated dichroic cold-light reflector, which reduces the heat load on the components and helps provide even brightness and colour distribution. The 18° beam is suitable for clearly defined projections.

Pan and tilt, as well as the colour and gobo wheels, prism and shutter, are motorised. The movement is designed for fast operation; in the menu, you can choose between normal and fast modes for pan and tilt. You can also reverse the movement directions or swap pan and tilt. The movements can be controlled via DMX; the fixture uses 13 channels for this.

Twelve replaceable dichroic colour filters and eight replaceable gobos are available for projection. The colour wheel can change colours in steps or continuously, and create split-colour effects. Gobos can be indexed, rotated continuously or shown with a shake movement; in addition to the eight patterns, there is an open position. The colour filters and gobos are replaceable, allowing you to adapt the configuration.

The motorised focus lens brings subjects into focus at distances of 2 to 20 m. A rotating 3-facet prism complements the projection; the filters, gobos and prism are also designed to be replaceable. The fixture has a full-range dimmer and fan cooling. Its modular design and easy access to the lamp make cleaning and maintenance easier. The motorised focus covers a range of 2 to 20 m.

The fixture can be mounted in any orientation, suspended using a suitable clamp or placed on a flat surface. During installation, a minimum distance of 0.1 m from combustible materials and 0.3 m from the illuminated surface must be maintained. The maximum ambient temperature is 40 °C. The fixture can be mounted in any orientation; the low-noise motor control is also relevant for studio and theatre environments.

The MX-10 is suited to DMX-controlled lighting setups that require moving projections, replaceable gobos and colour filters. For the power supply, the fixture setting must match the local mains voltage and frequency; the model is set to 230 V / 50 Hz at the factory. DMX connection is via locking 3-pin XLR connectors for input and output.
