When nearfield monitors need support in the low-bass range, the active KRK 10S Subwoofer adds a dedicated 10-inch driver to your setup. It is designed for use with KRK Rokit G2 monitors and can also be integrated into other monitor systems thanks to its adjustable crossover.

Stereo inputs and outputs are available in XLR, 6.3 mm jack and RCA formats. XLR and jack accept balanced signals, while RCA is unbalanced. You can route the signal from the outputs to active monitors or an amplifier for passive speakers. A fixed 80 Hz high-pass filter is available for the line outputs; the subwoofer's low-pass frequency can be adjusted from 50 to 130 Hz.

With the switchable bypass, you can bypass the subwoofer and high-pass filter using an optional latching footswitch with a 6.3 mm mono jack. The phase switch offers 0 and 180 degree positions to adjust the phase to your monitors and placement. A ground-lift switch can reduce hum caused by ground loops; the mains earth connection remains intact.

The driver features a yellow glass-aramid composite cone. Other features include a volume control, a power switch with LED indicator and rounded cabinet edges. The stated amplifier power is 225 watts; the reduced heat generation is intended to improve the signal-to-noise ratio and distortion performance at high levels.

The subwoofer is suitable for mixing and monitoring setups when you want to extend the bass range of your monitors and adjust the crossover frequency and phase. Rokit G2 and other monitor systems can be connected via the available analogue connections.
