JBL Control 25

For permanently installed music and speech reinforcement indoors or outdoors, a compact loudspeaker with controlled coverage and weather-resistant construction is required. The passive JBL Control 25 is designed as a full-range two-way speaker for foreground and background sound reinforcement and can also be used as a main loudspeaker, depending on the system. Weather-resistant enclosure for indoor and outdoor use and a coated woofer support use in different environments.

A 5.25-inch bass-reflex woofer and a horn-loaded 0.75-inch titanium tweeter handle the reproduction. The passive crossover divides the frequencies at 3 kHz; the high-frequency range is dispersed at 90° x 90°. This allows the speaker to be mounted either vertically or horizontally and aimed at the desired coverage area. 90° x 90° dispersion angle defines the high-frequency coverage.

For wall mounting, the InvisiBall ball-joint mounting system is built into the enclosure. It allows you to aim the speaker and, thanks to its design, makes unauthorised removal more difficult. The enclosure is made of High Impact Polystyrene and can be painted; the galvanised metal front grille has a rotating logo. The speaker is available in black or white.

The built-in full-range overload protection limits the load on the crossover and loudspeaker drivers. With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and spring terminals that accept banana plugs, the Control 25 can be connected to a suitable power amplifier. For a stronger bass foundation, it can be combined with the JBL Control SB-2 or SB210 subwoofers. 150 watts programme power handling and a frequency range of 80 Hz to 16 kHz describe the model's power and reproduction specifications.

The Control 25 is suitable for permanently installed music and speech reinforcement systems, for example as a foreground or background loudspeaker. The combination of a compact two-way speaker, weather-resistant construction and supplied mounting system is particularly relevant if you are planning an aimable wall installation for indoor or outdoor areas. For permanently installed indoor and outdoor setups, the black and white versions are also available.
