Product description JB-Systems Lighting Effect Kaleido
Moving light patterns can be directed precisely onto walls and background surfaces when the focus can be adjusted to suit the projection distance. The JB-Systems Kaleido is a 250 W kaleidoscope projector that creates swirling patterns using a special gobo and colour wheel system.
In stand-alone operation, the unit switches between automatic movements and music-controlled operation. The built-in microphone detects the sound level and uses it to affect the movement speed. The focus can be adjusted manually for wall projections; at a projection distance of around five metres, the pattern covers approximately 3.7 x 3.7 metres.
The optional CA-8 controller offers sound, auto and manual modes. In manual mode, you can adjust the speed and direction of rotation of the effect wheels. The controller also switches the projector to standby or blackout mode. In sound and automatic modes, the overall speed can also be changed using the function button.
For synchronised shows, multiple Kaleido units can be connected via the 3.5 mm stereo jack sockets on the rear. You will need optional stereo jack cables for this; a CA-8 can be connected to the first unit in the chain. The bracket is designed for mounting on a hook. The unit is intended for indoor use; there must be a distance of more than one metre between the light output and the illuminated surface.
A fan cools the housing, and the light source is a 250 W, 24 V ELC lamp. The projector is suitable for clubs, bars, pubs and parties where moving patterns are wanted on a wall or background surface. Manual focus and optional CA-8 control make it a suitable choice if you want to take projection sharpness, operating mode and synchronisation into account.
