If a line signal needs to be monitored through headphones or small speakers, the IMG Stageline HPR-6 provides the amplification. The compact stereo headphone amplifier accepts the signal via RCA and outputs it through a 6.3 mm stereo jack socket. Playback through headphones or small speakers makes it suitable for simple monitoring setups with a playback device, mixer or tape deck.

Connect the line output of your audio source to the two RCA inputs and your headphones to the jack output. Instead of headphones, you can also connect two small speakers there for the left and right channels. Adjust the volume and balance separately directly on the device.

For speaker operation, the HPR-6 is designed for systems with an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms. The output power depends on the connected impedance; values for headphones are also specified at 32 ohms. The housing is made of metal. Suitable for small 4 to 8 ohm speakers, the device is also a good choice when you want to connect a compact speaker solution instead of headphones.

Power is supplied by the included power adapter, which connects to a mains socket with 100–240 V and 50–60 Hz. The amplifier requires 12 V DC at 100 mA and is designed for indoor use at temperatures from 0 to 40 °C. A compact solution for monitoring line signals, the HPR-6 is ideal if you are looking for a separate headphone amplifier with balance control or a small amplifier for compatible speakers.
