Product description ICON iPad

You don’t necessarily need a large controller setup to trigger samples and control MIDI functions. The ICON iPad is a compact USB MIDI controller with 12 velocity-sensitive trigger pads that send MIDI notes or control data. Its form factor is designed to work with a MacBook.

You can adjust the pads’ sensitivity to your playing style using four velocity curves. Press the Artist button to switch between four programmable scenes, which you can set up for different applications or MIDI assignments. You can configure the assignments and MIDI functions using the iMap software.

An X/Y touchpad and an assignable fader are available for additional control. For example, you can use them to adjust MIDI CC parameters such as volume. The Hold, Roll and Flam functions add effects for holding or repeating notes; Flam is activated by pressing the Hold and Roll buttons together.

The controller connects to the computer via USB and is powered through the same connection. A second port allows you to daisy-chain iKey and iControls controllers. For compact MIDI setups, the black model combines pads, touch control and a fader in a small footprint; the stated class compatibility applies to Windows XP, Vista (32-bit) and Mac OS X.
