Product description ICON iKey

When desk space is limited, a MIDI keyboard needs a compact footprint and easily accessible performance controls. The ICON iKey with 25 velocity-sensitive keys is a USB MIDI controller in a synth-action format that is also suitable for mobile setups and designed to complement the look of MacBooks.

Velocity sensitivity transmits how hard you play the keys. With the selectable velocity curves, you can adjust the response to suit your playing style. For making changes while you play, there is a modulation touchpad, a pitch touchpad, octave buttons and a sustain button.

The keyboard has a Mini-B-format USB port for connecting to a computer and is powered via USB. A second standard USB port is used to connect an i-series controller. According to the operating concept, this allows up to three iKey or i-series controllers to be connected in a daisy chain.

The device is class-compliant and, according to the product description, compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit) and Mac OS X. The included iMap software is used to assign MIDI functions. The black casing can optionally be fitted with an aluminium cover in various designs.

With 25 keys, USB power and touchpads, the compact controller format fits on small desks and in mobile computer setups. It is suitable if you want to enter MIDI notes and basic performance controls directly on the keyboard while saving space.
