Product description HK Audio PR:O 10 X
When a compact PA speaker is also intended to serve as a stage monitor, positioning is crucial. The passive HK Audio PR:O 10 X can be used as a full-range speaker, satellite or monitor. Its balanced frequency response supports low-feedback reproduction and good speech intelligibility; you need an external amplifier to operate it.
In full-range mode, the 10-inch speaker covers a wide range of applications for speech and music. As a satellite, it can be combined with a PR:O 18 S. Two Speakon sockets serve as an input and parallel output, allowing you to connect another passive speaker cabinet. The sockets are designed for NL4 connectors and use contacts 1+/−.
For mounting on a stand, the cabinet has a DuoTilt flange with a 3° or 7° tilt. As a stage monitor, the speaker sits at an angle of 30°. Three M8 threaded points allow suitable installation by qualified professionals. Two integrated handles make it easier to carry.
A 10-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression driver work together via a passive crossover. The CD horn provides 90° horizontal and 60° vertical coverage. A dynamic protection circuit protects the tweeter; the MDF cabinet is finished with a steel grille with acoustic foam and black acrylic paint.
This makes the PR:O 10 X suitable for mobile PA systems, as a stage monitor or as a satellite in a setup with a subwoofer. Its passive design, two Speakon connections and adjustable stand mount are the key factors when choosing an amplifier, cabling and positioning.
