HK Audio Elias ESYS

Four subwoofers and two tops form an active PA system for large halls, live bands and DJ sets with a powerful bass foundation. The HK Audio Elias ESYS EPX delivers 2,400 W RMS of total power; all six speaker cabinets have their own power amplifier. This means you can set up the components without separate power amplifiers and position the system to suit the stage.

The four 15-inch subwoofers handle the low frequencies, while the two 12-inch/1-inch tops handle the mid and high frequencies. Each subwoofer has a 400 W RMS power amplifier with a DynaClip limiter, and each top has a 400 W RMS power amplifier with an Opto limiter. The protection circuits are matched to the respective speakers. Together, the six active cabinets deliver 2,400 W RMS.

You can also use the tops as full-range speakers without subwoofers. This is practical for smaller gigs or rehearsals where you don't need the bass. With the subwoofers, the system is suitable for sound reinforcement at larger events; the article gives a guideline of up to 500 listeners. The tops can also be used separately.

For setup, the subwoofers have M20 pole-mount flanges and the tops have integrated M8 flying points. The subwoofers roll on standard 100 mm castors, and ergonomically shaped handles make the cabinets easier to carry. Integrated flying points support the installation of the tops. Castors and flying points make transport and setup easier.
