Product description Heatscope Smartbox somfy

A manually switched HEATSCOPE heater can be integrated into an existing system using the Somfy I/O control. The Heatscope Smartbox somfy is installed between the power supply and the heater and controls compatible devices from the PURE, PURE+ and NEXT model ranges via Somfy I/O.

You can switch the heater on and off via the I/O system and switch between 50% and 100% heating output. The Smartbox is designed exclusively for compatible HEATSCOPE models and does not work with heaters from other brands. A HEATSCOPE IR remote control is not included with the Somfy version; control is via an existing Somfy I/O system.

The housing has a convex, translucent front. You can mount the Smartbox horizontally or vertically, directly on or next to the heater. A combination mounting bracket and a wall and ceiling mounting plate for installation with the PURE mounting bracket are provided. With an IP65 protection rating, no additional weather protection cover is required according to the product information.

The Smartbox is designed for a 220–240 V AC mains connection. Automatic shut-off after 4, 6 or 8 hours is not available with the Somfy I/O version. This makes the model suitable for existing Somfy installations where you want to switch a compatible HEATSCOPE heater via the central I/O system and select between its two heating output levels.

Designed for terraces and catering areas exposed to wind where heat needs to be directed precisely, the HEATSCOPE Spot 2800 is an electric infrared heater. Its directional heat output is suited to exposed locations; maximum heating output is available in less than 15 seconds. Two satin-finished carbon heating elements and a rear-ventilated reflector system emit medium-wave infrared heat. The louvre safety grille sits in front of the elements, while the reflector distributes the heat evenly. During operation, the visible light remains comparatively subtle at less than 600 lumens and glows orange. Use the supplied infrared remote control to switch the unit on and off and select between 50 and 100 per cent heating output. The unit can also be operated manually using these settings. This lets you adjust the heat output to suit the application. The coated aluminium housing is designed for wall or ceiling mounting; the corresponding mounting accessories are included. An installation height of 1.8 to 3.0 metres is recommended.
