Gemini PMX-02

When beatmixing, independently controllable sources and a crossfader that is within easy reach are essential. The Gemini PMX-02 is a 10-inch two-channel stereo DJ mixer for turntables and line-level sources. With its RCA inputs, three-band tone controls and cue section, it is suitable for classic DJ setups with headphone monitoring.

Each channel has four line inputs and two switchable phono/line inputs. The phono inputs are designed for turntables with magnetic cartridges; line-level sources such as CD players require the appropriate switch setting. Two grounding screws are provided for turntables. The replaceable Rail-Glide crossfader can be replaced when needed; gain controls and channel faders control the level of each channel.

The three-band EQ section adjusts the bass, midrange and treble for each channel and includes a cut function. When cueing, you can use the cue mix fader to select channel 1, channel 2 or a mix of both. The headphone volume can be adjusted separately without changing the master mix. A master output LED level meter displays the combined levels of both channels and responds to the gain controls, EQ and channel faders.

A microphone connects via the front-mounted 6.3 mm jack socket and its level is adjusted with a dedicated rotary control. A master RCA output is provided for connection to a sound system, with a separate record RCA output for recording. Headphones also connect at the front via a 6.3 mm jack socket. The rounded front panel is ergonomically designed for flush placement alongside a turntable.

The PMX-02 is suited to compact DJ setups that require two stereo channels, switchable phono/line inputs and a replaceable crossfader. The 15 V AC power supply is included; the appropriate power supply version is provided for operation on a 230 V mains supply.
