Gemini MM-3000

With a five-channel rack mixer, the key is to combine multiple sources in a clear layout and control them separately. The Gemini MM-3000 is a 19-inch mixer with five stereo channels in a 4U format. Eight line inputs and two switchable phono/line inputs accommodate players and turntables.

Each channel has a gain control, a volume fader and a 3-band EQ with cut function. Use the input selector to choose which source is assigned to each channel. The assignable, replaceable Railglide crossfader can fade between the selected channels; channels that are not assigned remain independently controllable.

To preview, select the desired channels using the cue buttons and mix the preview signal with the master using the Cue/PGM control. The headphone volume can be adjusted separately. A six-segment level meter displays the master level; use the Cue/Master switch and two operating modes to tailor the display to your monitoring needs.

The mixer has three microphone inputs: a front-panel XLR/jack combo input and two additional inputs that can be selected via the channels. The main microphone has gain, volume and a 2-band EQ. When talkover is enabled, the music is attenuated by 20 dB while you speak.

Balanced XLR and RCA master outputs are available for connecting to the sound system. Separate RCA outputs for Zone and Record allow you to connect an additional monitor or speaker feed, as well as a recording device. You can adjust the master and zone levels and the balance on the unit; a Mono/Stereo switch completes the output section.

The included iPod cable connects the headphone or line output of a portable player to an RCA line input on the mixer. With its rack format, multiple source paths, cue section and separate outputs, the MM-3000 is suitable for DJ racks and installations where you want to connect analogue players, microphones and a separate zone or recording feed.
