Gorgeous gemini without using a pc, it's fantastic

Dual function: stand-alone console and PC controller

I chose this device for its standalone mode in order to be able to do without the PC: it's missed :( In standalone mode I'm disappointed: no sync, capricious BPM modes, disappointing filter EQ, and imprecise loop. on the other hand, in PC mode with Virtual DJ, it's very good, the above faults are all erased and mixing properly is easy there.The device is quite complete overall, but the absence of an RCA input for CD player is regrettable. Little misunderstanding: my screens are not black with blue text, but white with black text. Why?

Stand-alone DJ player with no frills, but does what it is supposed to do very well. Very reliable as a media player for USB sticks or hard drives.

Just the thing for my purposes

I bought the player as a replacement for my American Audio SDJ2 because it stopped working after 18 years and I no longer get spare parts at a reasonable price. I only use the GMX in stand-alone mode with a USB data carrier. Here he does what he is supposed to and eats every USB stick, SD card with adapter or even a large 500GB hard drive. As expected, I had to adjust my folder structure a bit, because the display is not too big and does not work. But you have everything in view that matters. The buttons are clicked and rubberized, very nice! Only the regulators have an enormous efficiency on their short rotation, which you have to get used to. The faders, on the other hand, are as you know them - super light and without a recognizable curve. For me there is no alternative to the price - therefore an absolute recommendation

Great controller at an affordable price. Unfortunately no Recordbox support - means that you have to manage the audio files manually on the USB device, which I did not think of before buying. Otherwise highly recommended!

Everything you need inside. No laptop or PC required. Put the USB stick in and get started. You can't expect quality like the big ones at the price, of course. everything feels a little cheaper, just costs a fraction of it. at the end of the day, however, the same sound quality comes out at the end of the output and the mixes are also no worse than with much more expensive devices.

Ingenious player and midi controller at a great price. A lot is offered for the money, even standalone operation via USB. Displays are marginal and contain only the most important things .. but for the price you can get over them.
