Product description Futurelight PHS-200

For lighting designs with moving spot projections, the mini moving head with rotating gobo wheel combines colours, patterns and dynamic movement. The FUTURELIGHT PHS-200 can be controlled via DMX or operated without an external controller; a manually adjustable focus aligns the projected image.

The colour wheel offers nine dichroic colours and an open position. Colour change can be set to allow either full colours only or transitions at every position. A rainbow effect runs in both directions at variable speed. For patterns, seven rotating gobos and an open position are available; the shake function also moves the selected gobo. Colour and gobo effects complement the strobe and mechanical dimmer.

In stand-alone mode, you can use one of the 48 pre-programmed scene sequences. The number of scenes can be changed; you can edit and save individual scenes on the control board or via an external controller. Eight built-in programmes can be selected via DMX. A microphone is integrated for music-triggered sequences, and the unit also supports master/slave operation. Programmes and scenes can be customised, with no controller required for stand-alone use.

Eight channels and a 3-pin XLR connection are available for DMX control. The control board has a four-digit display and a membrane keypad. Among other things, you can use it to set the start address, reverse pan and tilt, select programmes, reset the unit or switch the lamp on and off. Control is via DMX or the control panel; the Shopware listing names the CP-528 and CP-256/32 as suitable FUTURELIGHT controllers.

The head moves through 360° pan and 265° tilt. The maximum pan movement takes 2.0 seconds, and the maximum tilt movement takes 1.5 seconds; the beam angle is 13°. The unit is designed for MSD/HSD-250 or MSD-250/2 lamps. The 13° beam angle is suitable for focused spot projections. A minimum distance of 0.5 m must be maintained from both illuminated objects and flammable surfaces.

With a 230 V power supply and a power rating of 400 W, the PHS-200 is suited to DMX setups as well as standalone lighting installations with programmed or music-triggered sequences. The combination of spotlight, movement and gobos is particularly useful for applications where a single moving head is intended to provide colour effects and changing projections.
