Product description Elac BS 53.2
In a compact loudspeaker, the cabinet, drivers and sound dispersion work together to shape how evenly the sound reaches the listening room. The Elac BS 53.2 is a passive two-way bass-reflex loudspeaker from the 50.2 series, featuring a 145 mm woofer and fabric-dome tweeter. Its three-dimensional sound dispersion is designed to provide more even acoustic coverage throughout the room.
The woofer has a rubber surround designed for long-term durability; the tweeter is a fabric dome. The crossover frequency between the two drivers is 2,200 Hz. Together, they cover a specified frequency range of 46 to 25,000 Hz. The bass-reflex design is part of the loudspeaker’s two-way configuration.
The baffle is finished in satin black and features edges with a radius of 4. The black-finish cabinet is similarly rounded, except for the rear panel. The black-and-silver chassis is complemented by a supplied speaker grille.
With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and a recommended amplifier power of 20 to 120 watts per channel, the BS 53.2 can be integrated into suitable stereo or multichannel systems. Its sensitivity is 87 dB at 2.83 V/1 m. According to the specified technical data, the model is suitable for amplifiers rated at 4 to 8 ohms.
