Dynacord SL 900

In a PA system with two independently adjustable speaker paths, you can use the power amp in DUAL mode as a stereo amplifier. The Dynacord SL 900 delivers a maximum of 450 watts per channel at 4 ohms and is designed for mobile PA systems and club systems. Two power amp channels with up to 450 watts give you room for different speaker configurations.

Use the MODE switch on the rear panel to select between DUAL, PARALLEL and BRIDGED operation. In DUAL mode, both channels operate independently, for example for stereo. PARALLEL internally connects the inputs; the signal is then fed into INPUT A, while the levels of the two channels can still be adjusted separately. In bridged mode, you use both channels for one speaker connection. Three selectable operating modes adapt the power amp to the respective signal and speaker setup.

The switchable LPN filter corrects the frequency and phase response of the connected speakers and optimises their transient response in particular. You can compare the effect directly with the filter switched on and off. The function can be particularly relevant for full-range speakers and subwoofers; using the filter is not recommended for larger systems with external system control. Switchable LPN filter is therefore part of tuning the connected system.

For the signal path, there are two electronically balanced XLR inputs and one parallel XLR output per channel. The outputs allow you to pass the signal on to other audio equipment. You connect speakers via two Speakon sockets. A switchable ground lift can help prevent noise caused by ground loops. XLR inputs and outputs, plus two Speakon outputs provide the essential connections for operation.

Protection circuits and dynamic limiters monitor temperature, DC voltage, high frequency and overcurrent, among other things; protection against overload and short circuits, as well as a power-on delay, is also provided. Two temperature-controlled fans move air through the unit from front to back. Continuous operation at 2 ohms in DUAL mode or 4 ohms in BRIDGED mode may be limited depending on the ambient temperature. The SL 900 is suitable for mobile and fixed PA setups where two channels, selectable operating modes and an LPN filter are required.
