Product description Dynacord CMX-15

On stage, a floor monitor needs to deliver clear sound at close range and have a design that allows it to be positioned as required. The Dynacord CXM 15 is a passive, coaxial two-way monitor with a 15-inch woofer and 1.4-inch high-frequency section. Its power handling is 450 W RMS or 1,800 W peak.

You can switch between passive operation and active bi-amp operation using a slide switch. In passive mode, the signal is applied to pins 1+ and 1−. In bi-amp mode, these pins power the woofer; the high-frequency section is connected separately via 2+ and 2−. The amplifier and cabling must be suitably configured for operation in this setting.

Three parallel-wired NL4 SpeakON connectors make it easy to loop the signal through to additional speakers. The nominal impedance is 8 ohms. The nominal sound pressure level is 102 dB (1 W/1 m); the maximum value of 135 dB SPL is calculated using peak power.

FIR and IIR presets are available for signal processing. When using the RCM-26 controller in an H5000 amplifier, you can select presets for passive and active operating modes. The enclosure is made of birch plywood and has a powder-coated steel grille with acoustic foam and integrated handles on both sides.

A recessed flange allows mounting on a speaker stand. For flown applications, it can be replaced with a plate with an M20 internal thread; a flying bracket is available as an option. The monitor is described as available in black or white and is suitable for stage setups that require a coaxial floor monitor with switchable operating modes and loop-through connections.
