DJ-Tech I-Mix-Reload - Orange

When you control two digital decks using DJ software, you need a controller that combines transport, tone control and scratch controls on a compact surface. The orange DJ-Tech i-Mix Reload is a 2-deck USB MIDI controller with an integrated USB sound card for Mac and PC. It connects to the computer via USB and can also be powered through the USB connection.

The sensitivity of the two touch-sensitive metal jog wheels can be calibrated using knobs. They are used for scratching, track searching and pitch bending. A pitch fader for each deck, Keylock, and search and browsing buttons round out the controls. The crossfader curve is adjustable; a fast curve is suitable for cuts, while a smoother one is better for longer transitions.

For sound processing, each deck has a 3-band EQ with kill switches for bass, midrange and treble, as well as a gain control. Cue buttons let you preview tracks through headphones. Four FX buttons, each with its own knob, control switchable effects. Three Reloops are also available per deck; Keylock keeps the pitch constant when changing the tempo, and a Downbeat function is also included.

The controller is designed for Traktor 3 LE and Deckadance LE. It can also be used with DJ software that supports MIDI; with MIDI Learn software, you can assign the controls to software functions. Supported formats include MP3, AIFF, WAV, WMA, OGG and CD audio, as well as the iTunes library. The ABS housing and low weight make this model suitable for mobile laptop setups.

The i-Mix Reload is suitable for laptop-based DJ setups where you want to control two software decks directly and use basic mixing, cue, effect and scratch functions. The included software, USB sound card and cable are already listed in the package contents.
