DJ Packing List - Essentials for Every DJ Gig

To ensure you have everything you need for your next gig, we've put together the ultimate packing list for DJs.

Whether you're DJing purely digitally or with vinyl, we've divided the checklist so that no type of DJ is forgotten.

The following items should be essential for any DJ

• DJ Headphones
• Headphone jack adapter (3.5mm to 6.3mm)
• Flashlight
• Battery for the flashlight
• Hearing protection or earplugs
• Standard USB cable
• Cell phone or camera
• Batteries (AA and AAA)
• Screwdriver
• Duct tape for quick repairs
• Cable ties

If you're DJing digitally, consider packing these additional items

• DJ Controller or 2x DJ Media Players
• Laptop
• DJ Mixer
• USB cable
• Cold appliance plug
• RCA cable
• USB stick/SD card with mp3s
• Flight bag or case for the equipment
• Laptop stand

If you're DJing with CD players, you should also pack the following:

• 2x DJ CD players
• DJ mixer

If you're DJing with turntables, you should also pack the following:

If you're also responsible for sound amplification, you'll need the following:
