Daslight DVC Fun

With the Daslight DVC Fun, you control light shows over DMX via a compact interface that is intentionally kept simple yet can grow with your needs. Out of the box, you get 128 DMX channels. If required, the controller can be upgraded for a fee to up to 512 channels. The connection is via USB-C, and the output is provided through a 3-pin XLR socket. That gives you a clear solution for smaller setups, mobile applications, and prepared scenes for stand-alone operation.

Direct start into DMX control

The interface works with Daslight 4 and Daslight 5 in Express mode. This allows you to program your light show on the computer, create scenes, and convert the control data into a DMX signal your fixtures can process. Express mode is intentionally limited, but it provides a clean foundation for manageable shows and fixed routines.

With 128 live channels, the controller reliably covers many small lighting systems. If your setup grows later on, you can expand the number of channels via SUT upgrades. This means you don’t have to start out with something bigger right away, but can adapt the scope of functions to your needs.

Small, clear, expandable

The strength of this Daslight interface lies in its flexible expandability. With Smart Upgrade Technology, additional channels can be enabled or further software functions can be added. Up to a maximum of 512 DMX channels via XLR are possible. Optionally, Art-Net universes can also be added if your system is to be expanded accordingly.

What matters here: The upgrades are paid and must be synchronized online regularly. This is particularly relevant when you use the interface frequently in offline mode. For many mobile applications, it’s still a practical solution, because you only pay for what you truly need.

Scenes without a running computer

The integrated 50k flash memory enables stand-alone operation. You can transfer pre-prepared shows to the interface and then play them back without a computer. This is useful for small installations, simple lighting routines, or as a backup if the computer isn’t available during an event.

A total of up to 99 scenes can be used. Operation on the device is via three buttons, including buttons for changing scenes and for dimmer control. That way, the controller remains usable even if you don’t want to work with the software permanently.

Clean connection to the lighting system

Via the USB-C connection, the interface is connected to the computer. For output to your lighting equipment, a 3-pin XLR socket is available. The plastic housing keeps the device light and compact, so it fits well into mobile lighting cases, DJ setups, or small technical locations.

Power is supplied via USB. Additional network hardware is not intended with this model. This keeps the setup simple: start the software, connect the interface, plug in the DMX cable, and program or play back the show.
