Product description Chauvet Shocker 2
A blinder produces short, intense bursts of light; with the Chauvet Shocker 2, its two light sources can be controlled separately as two zones. The fixture uses warm white 85-watt COB LEDs and is suitable for stages, concerts and dance floors. The adjustable PWM frequency helps to prevent distracting flicker in camera footage.
Control options include DMX modes with 1, 2, 4, 7 or 8 channels, as well as built-in automatic and Sound Active programmes. Without a DMX controller, you can set static dimmer and strobe values or use one of the automatic programmes. In Master/Slave mode, one unit takes control and additional Shocker 2 units can synchronously reproduce its output.
The extension bracket for a second unit connects two fixtures to create a four-head blinder setup. The included hanging bracket can be adjusted for positioning; a safety cable is also required for overhead installation. The fixture is designed for indoor use and has an IP20 rating.
For signal and power connections, it has 3- and 5-pin DMX connectors as well as powerCON-compatible inputs and outputs. At 120 V, up to six units can be linked via the power output; at 230 V, up to twelve. The power supply automatically adapts to input voltages from 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz.
The Chauvet Shocker 2 is suited to stage and event setups that call for a two- or four-head blinder with DMX, automatic or sound control. The choice of five DMX modes, camera adjustment via PWM and power-linking capability are important considerations when integrating it into your lighting setup.

Important questions about the article Chauvet Shocker 2
Question: Does the Chauvet Shocker 2 produce coloured light?
Answer: No. It uses two warm white COB LEDs at 3,200 K and is designed as a blinder for powerful white-light effects.
Question: Can I use the Shocker 2 without DMX control?
Answer: Yes. Automated strobe and sound-active programmes allow straightforward use without an external DMX controller; DMX is available for targeted control.
Question: Which DMX connectors and channel modes does the unit offer?
Answer: It has 3- and 5-pin XLR DMX connectors and can operate with 1, 2, 4, 7 or 8 DMX channels. This lets the feature set be adapted to simple or more detailed setups.
Question: Is the Shocker 2 suitable for video recordings?
Answer: Yes. Its 1,200 Hz PWM frequency is adjustable and helps prevent visible flicker in camera recordings.
Question: Can two Shocker 2 units be combined into a larger blinder?
Answer: Yes. The included expansion bracket allows a second unit to be attached quickly, creating a four-head blinder.
Question: How many units can be power linked at 230 V?
Answer: Up to twelve Shocker 2 units can be linked together at 230 V via the PowerCON-compatible input and output connections. A power cable is included.
Question: Is mounting hardware for suspended installation included?
Answer: Yes. The package includes a hanging bracket with mounting hardware as well as the expansion bracket for a second unit.
