Product description Audiophony Atom12A

On stage, a monitor needs to stand directly on the floor; for the next gig, the speaker needs to go on a stand: the active Audiophony Atom12A is designed for both setups. Its 400 W RMS bi-amping amplification distributes power separately to the 12-inch woofer and the 1.35-inch compression driver. The plastic cabinet is suitable for mobile sound reinforcement and use as a stage monitor.

Use the integrated DSP to adapt playback to the signal and setup. The available sound presets are Normal, Live, Club and Speech; there are also settings for stand, monitor or wall mounting. Bass and treble can each be adjusted from −10 to +10 dB. The display shows the settings that you select and confirm using the rotary push control.

A level-adjustable combo input with XLR and jack connections is available for a microphone or line signal; a switch adapts it to microphone or line level. Another adjustable input accepts line signals via RCA or a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack, for example from a mixer or mobile player. The XLR line output passes the combined input signals on to another active speaker, a mixer or an amplifier system.

The 35 mm stand socket can be set to 0° or 7.5° tilt. Two 45° angles are provided for monitor use. Two M10 points on the top and another M10 insert on the rear are for mounting. A handle on top and one on the side make it easier to carry; rubber feet complete the cabinet's features.

The bi-amping power amplifier delivers 350 W RMS Class D for the low frequencies and 50 W RMS Class AB for the high frequencies. Short-circuit, thermal and limiter protection are integrated. With its adjustable inputs, DSP settings and mounting options, the Atom12A is suited to mobile PA and monitor setups that require an active 12-inch speaker with XLR signal pass-through.
