Product description Audient iD14 MKII
Perfect sound quality for your home or mobile studio is now easier than ever. With the Audient iD14 MKII, you get an audio interface that delivers uncompromising performance. Two discrete Class A microphone preamps provide the clear, warm sound typically found only in high-quality studio consoles. Thanks to the modern USB-C connection and fast USB 3.0 data transfer, you work with minimal latency and maximum flexibility – whether on a laptop, tablet, or desktop PC.
The sound remains not only clear – it even gets better. The newly redesigned converters of the iD14 MKII deliver an impressive dynamic range of 120 dB, ensuring that every detail of your recording is preserved faithfully. An integrated JFET instrument input offers authentic direct recordings of your guitar, bass, or keyboard, capturing their character in detail in your DAW. Through the ADAT interface, you can expand your setup with up to eight additional inputs – perfect for more complex recording situations.
The solid metal housing not only feels high-quality but also provides reliable protection in mobile use. Two independent headphone outputs (6.3 mm and 3.5 mm) deliver clean sound at any volume – perfect for precise monitoring or relaxed music listening. The large volume control on the front also takes on tasks like dimming or controlling plug-in parameters thanks to the clever ScrollControl feature.
With the comprehensive ARC software package, Audient also provides you with powerful tools for your creative process: Cubase LE, virtual instruments, guitar cab simulations, and access to exclusive online courses. This way, you have everything you need for professional productions right from the start.

Important questions about the article Audient iD14 MKII
Question: Can I use the Audient iD14 MKII without a computer?
Answer: No. The interface is designed for use with a computer via USB-C and requires a USB 3.0 connection.
Question: How many microphones can I connect directly?
Answer: Two microphones or line sources can be connected simultaneously via the two XLR/jack combo inputs. 48 V phantom power is available for condenser microphones.
Question: Is the iD14 MKII suitable for guitar or bass without an additional DI box?
Answer: Yes. The separate JFET instrument input is designed for high-impedance guitar and bass signals and can be used directly with amp simulations in the DAW.
Question: Can I expand the number of inputs later?
Answer: Yes. ADAT or S/PDIF sources can be connected via the optical digital input; ADAT adds up to eight additional inputs.
Question: Can I connect two pairs of headphones at the same time?
Answer: Yes. There is a 6.3 mm and a 3.5 mm headphone output on the front, allowing two headphones to be connected in parallel.
Question: Can I connect two pairs of speakers?
Answer: Yes. The four line outputs allow two stereo speaker pairs to be connected. Alternatively, the additional outputs can supply an external headphone amplifier, for example.
Question: Is the interface suitable for streaming and direct monitoring?
Answer: Yes. The software mixer enables low-latency direct monitoring and separate monitor mixes; for streaming, microphone and computer audio can be provided together as an audio feed.
