American DJ Ultra Bar 6

For even fields of colour on stage, walls or dance floors, the American DJ Ultra Bar 6 packs six RGB tri-LEDs into a compact light bar. Three individually controllable pixel zones allow different areas of colour within the bar; the 40° beam angle is designed for wash lighting.

You can operate the light via DMX, in a master-slave setup or without an external controller. Six operating modes are available: auto run, internal programmes, sound active, RGB dimmer, static colours and DMX-512. The four-button control panel with LED display is used to configure the unit directly; alternatively, it is compatible with the separately available RFC wireless remote control, which has a range of up to 10 m.

Seven channel modes with 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 11 channels are available for DMX control. Depending on the mode, you can control RGB colours, the three pixel zones, colour macros, internal programmes, dimmer, flash rate or sound sensitivity. A total of 35 colour macros are integrated. Electronic dimming ranges from 0 to 100 per cent; pulse and strobe effects are also available.

The magnetic Quick-Align end lock connects multiple bars flush with one another and helps avoid visible breaks in the light output. Mounting brackets for wall or floor are included in the feature set. The light operates flicker-free at a refresh rate of 1 kHz and is intended for indoor use.

DMX is connected and linked through three-pin XLR connectors. For power, the bar has IEC inputs and outputs, allowing up to 25 Ultra Bar 6 units to be linked in a daisy chain. The RFC receiver is available separately; the remote control is not part of the unit's standard equipment.

With a power consumption of 22 W and a power supply for 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz, the model is suited to compact lighting and installation setups. The six LEDs have a specified lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours. The bar is suitable for RGB wash lighting if you are looking for a short, zone-controllable light source with DMX connectivity, direct control and optional wireless control.
