Product description American DJ Mega PAR Profile Plus
For wall surfaces, small stages and floor lighting, you often need a spotlight that fits into a confined space. The American DJ Mega PAR Profile Plus combines RGB colour mixing with UV light and, with its 30° beam angle, is suitable for illuminating surfaces and objects. Its flat design and side-mounted connectors also allow it to be positioned directly on the floor or on a truss.
The 26 red, 45 green and 36 blue 10 mm LEDs mix colours seamlessly; a separate 3 W UV LED adds blacklight to the colour output. Five modes are available: RGB+UV dimming, sound-active control, Auto Run, static colour and DMX. Without an external controller, you can choose from 32 built-in shows – 16 colour-change and 16 colour-fade programmes. There are also 16 sound-active shows and 64 colour macros.
In DMX mode, the spotlight operates according to the DMX-512 protocol and can be controlled using 4, 5, 6, 9 or 10 channels. Alternatively, you can operate several units in a master/slave configuration. Electronic dimming ranges from 0 to 100 per cent; five selectable dimming curves are designed for standard, stage, TV, architectural and theatre applications. A colour strobe effect, as well as fast or slow colour changes, adds to the control options.
A scissor-shaped mounting bracket is included, allowing you to position the unit on a truss, on a wall or on the floor. The side-mounted DMX and power connectors make it easier to position the unit without the bracket, for example directly on the floor or on a truss. The rear panel has an IEC power input and output for daisy-chaining the power supply; according to the specifications, up to 33 units at 120 V or 60 units at 230 V can be connected.
The unit is operated via a four-button display, which can be inverted. An ADJ LED RC2, available separately, can control the spotlight by infrared from a distance of up to 10 m. With an LED lifespan of up to 50,000 hours and a maximum power consumption of 16 W, this model is suited to setups that require RGB and UV light, compact dimensions and several control options – for example, mobile DJs, small stages and decorative room lighting.
