American DJ Mega 24PRO

For wide, uniform areas of light on a wall or dance floor, an elongated wash fixture is practical. The American DJ LED Fluter Mega 24PRO uses 24 RGB LEDs with 1 watt each and a linear beam angle of 10° vertical and 40° horizontal for this purpose. The eight red, eight green, and eight blue LEDs can be mixed for coloured lighting.

For operation, you can choose between six modes: manual colour selection, colour change, colour fading, automatic program execution, sound active, and DMX-512. 32 integrated colour macros are available for preset colours; electronic dimming ranges from 0 to 100 percent. A colour strobe effect complements the lighting functions.

In DMX mode, the floodlight can be controlled with six channel assignments with 3, 6, 7, 10, 12, or 16 channels. The LCD menu with three buttons is located on the rear. Master/slave operation is also provided for stand-alone applications. The DMX connection is made via 3-pin XLR connectors; the units are connected in a chain.

The dual bracket allows mounting on a suitable structure or placement on the floor. A safety hook on the rear is provided for additional security during mounting. The aluminium housing has no moving parts; the LEDs are rated for a lifespan of 50,000 hours. Operation is designed to be flicker-free for film and television applications.

The power consumption is 40 watts. Up to ten units can be daisy-chained for power supply via IEC inputs and outputs. The automatic voltage sensing supports operation on supplies from 100 to 230 volts at 50 or 60 Hz; the fuse is rated at 4 amperes.

With its selectable mounting positions and wide beam, the Mega 24PRO is suitable for wall washing, stages, and dance floors as well as for theatre productions and installations. The DMX channel modes, colour macros, and stand-alone operating modes offer various ways to integrate it into a lighting setup.
