Product description AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ
Developed for demanding DJ performances, this 4-channel all-in-one DJ system combines a club-style operating feel with modern standalone flexibility. You work with a large touchscreen, full-size jog wheels, and a mixer section based on professional setups. On top of that, you get 4-deck playback, direct access to streaming and cloud content, as well as broad support for USB media, computers, and mobile devices. The result is a system that responds quickly, is clearly structured, and gives you plenty of freedom during a live set.
Club layout that feels instantly familiar
The control surface is clearly based on AlphaTheta’s well-known professional standards. This means you can find your way around quickly and work with a clear, practical layout of all key functions. The large jog wheels with a diameter of 206 mm give you plenty of control for pitch bending, scratches, and precise transitions.
The mixer section is also designed for direct hands-on use. Beat FX can be assigned quickly, keeping your performance smooth and without detours. That is a noticeable advantage, especially in dynamic sets.

Vom XZ zum AZ – einfach wow
Ich hatte zuvor den XDJ-XZ und bin jetzt auf den neuen AZ umgestiegen. Allein der Anschluss per USB-C auf USB-C direkt an den Laptop wirkt deutlich moderner – kein USB-B auf USB-A wie früher. Ein Software-Update direkt nach dem Auspacken würde ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen, damit alles optimal läuft. Ansonsten ist das Gerät einfach überragend. Die Bedienung, die Performance und die Features sind auf einem ganz anderen Niveau. Für mich ist der AZ ein riesiger Schritt nach vorne und jeden Cent wert. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Qualität und eine Vielzahl von Features zum noch annehmbaren Preis
Tolles Standalone-Gerät. Auch wenn nicht ganz günstig ist die Qualität wie gewohnt hochwertig und der Preis gegenüber zwei CDJ-3000X mit einem Pioneer DJM-A9 im Verhältnis noch im Rahmen. Ich bin derzeit voll zufrieden mit dem Gerät und würde es wieder kaufen.
Wahnsinns Standalons-Controller
Kommt meiner Meinung nach Club-Gear am nächsten ohne Club-Gear zu sein. Software könnte noch eine Schippe drauflegen (warum muss ich Beatport Login jedes mal neu eingeben?) Aber davon ab super Gerät mit absolutem Spaßfaktor.

Great product and service from Recordcase
I only had a chance to test the XDJ-AZ for a day and I can say it’s a big step up from the RX3, specially in the sound quality. I have a very resolving HiFi stereo system and the difference is night and day.
The only thing worth to mention is that I made my order at the end of March 2026 and received a unit which was manufactured in December 2024. I was worried that it’s been produced shortly after the AlphaTheta conformation in November 2024 that the first batches of the AZ after the initial release in October 2024 were with design flaws. I had it running for 5-6 hours without any issue, so I hope it will remain that way.
Otherwise, great service from Recordcase (as usual). Unbeatable price and fast delivery.

Gute Performance und tolle Funktionen
Tolles Produkt - etwas teuer, aber funktioniert tadellos. Sowohl im Standalone-alone-Betrieb, als auch mit Rekordbox ein tolles Gerät. Habe lange überlegt, ob ich mir tausend Euro sparen und den Prime 4+ wählen soll. Letztlich waren mir aber die guten Jogwheels und die Effekte (die übrigens komplett auf meine Turntables im Phono-Signal angewendet werden können!) wichtiger als der software-technische Fortschritt von Denon, bzw. Engine DJ.
Für meine Anwendungen Zuhause oder auf Privatfeiern ist der Controller absolut perfekt.
Durch die erneute Aufnahme von Spotify in Rekordbox ist außerdem auch das Auflegen wieder deutlich preiswerter geworden und ich persönlich benötige nicht noch zusätzlich das Beatport- oder Tidal-Abo.
