Product description Alesis PicoVerb
Want reverb, delay or chorus to blend into your signal without searching through menus? The Alesis PicoVerb 4 offers 16 permanently stored digital effects in a compact effects processor with straightforward front-panel controls. The signal path operates in true stereo; A/D conversion is 24-bit, with internal processing at 28-bit.
The effect programmes include two reverbs, three rooms and three plates, as well as chorus, flange and two delays. They are complemented by two chorus/room programmes, a Vocal Eliminator and a rotary speaker effect. This gives you suitable processing for spatial effects, modulation and special sound alterations without having to search for parameters in menus.
Three controls on the front panel operate the unit: an input level control, a control for the effect level in the mix and a detented rotary switch for programme selection. Select and adjust effects directly on the front panel – there are no additional parameter windows or LCD menu.
The inputs and outputs each comprise two unbalanced 6.3 mm jack sockets. This lets you integrate the processor into a true-stereo signal path; the maximum input level is +7 dBu with the Input control set to the 12 o'clock position. The external 9 VAC power supply is included.
With its quarter-rack format and a weight of 0.46 kg, the unit fits into compact racks as well as guitar or studio setups. It's suitable if you want to select fixed reverb, modulation and special effects using just a few controls and connect them via stereo jack sockets.
