If the coiled cable on your AKG headphones needs replacing, the AKG EK 500 S connects the headphones to a playback device or headphone output. The detachable cable is 5 m long and has a 3-pin mini XLR connector on the headphone side and a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug on the other end.

It is compatible with AKG headphones with a 3-pin mini XLR connector, including the K240 Studio, K240 MKII, K271 MKII, K702 and K712 PRO. Check your headphone connector before buying; the mini XLR socket on the cable is designed for this 3-pin connection.
