Seven microphones cover the usual positions on a drum kit and come with accessories in an aluminium case. The AKG Drum Set Concert I combines a bass drum microphone, four microphones for snare and toms, and two condenser microphones for overheads. The complete collection of seven is suitable for stage and studio use.

The dynamic D112 MKII is designed for the bass drum; its maximum SPL is above 160 dB SPL at 0.5% THD. Four dynamic D40 microphones handle the snare and toms. Their cardioid polar pattern and maximum SPL of 156 dB SPL make them suitable for miking loud drums. The set covers bass drum, snare and toms, without you having to select these microphones individually.

Two C430 small-diaphragm condenser microphones complete the collection for overheads and cymbals. They capture the sound of the entire drum kit and, according to the application notes, are also suitable for hi-hat and acoustic guitar. The C430 requires 48-volt phantom power, which must be available from the connected device.

All microphones have a metal housing and a balanced, three-pin XLR output. You connect them via XLR cables to balanced XLR inputs on a mixer or another audio device. The four H440 holders are for mounting the D40 microphones, while the two P17 holders are designed for the C430. XLR connections and suitable holders are therefore included in the set.

The microphones can also be used for percussion, wind instruments, and bass and guitar amplifiers. For transport and storage, they come with the accessories in a sturdy aluminium case. The set is suitable for drum recording and instrument miking in stage and studio setups if you are looking for seven microphones with holders and a transport case.
